Agent of Unproductivity

Ever have one of those stretches of time where you are just supper-pumped and supper-focused to get something done? You know what I mean, for once everything in your work makes sense, you’re enjoying it, you’re developing a rhythm and a beat, you’re seeing progress.

I was in one of those moods a bit earlier tonight; but, alas the agent of unproductivity stopped by. He takes many forms, usually that of a co-worker or friend who feels the need to pick fault in one of the most inconsequential parts of what you’re doing. He thinks he’s helping, but no! Like the movie Matrix he’s turned into an agent, an agent whose goal it is to suck the fun out of what you’re doing and turn the rest of your work into the most excruciating and joyless mountain possible.

Don’t try and reason when your co-worker in this state! You’ll never win again an agent unless you’re Nemo…or was in Neo… no matter, you won’t win! Your only recourse is to put forth minimal effort and isolate your thoughts onto the coming finale of Fringe or into designing some other project until the agent releases your compatriot or, more likely, they need to pee and give you a chance to escape their shoulder-hovering soulless stare.

Oh, and, if after escaping you’re in a foul and ticked off mood — do what I do, write a blog post!

New FFC launches, I summarize my position

The FFC thread is locked; but I’m not locking this blog post. Rummaging though a garbage heap to try and find some past sin horrible enough to make people ignore the present seems rather immature and desperate to me. I won’t publish Anonymous or “me too!” comments, but, everything else is fair game — I just encourage those comments to be constructive and not play the “ignore the problem to debate the past” game.
The FFC leadership in their usually desire to re-write history decided to remove my response to their accusations; those responses live on here. What remains on FFC is a testament to people who want only their own voices heard.

FFC demeans itself, I just point out the obvious. It’s hard to watch folks who are inadequately equipped and don’t know what they are doing; and watch those same people lying to themselves and others. I feel bad for whatever community comes there to be nurtured because you’ve proved yourselves to be headstrong and ignorant of how to lead.

It’s strong, but, let’s define your actions in more strong language:
- Silencing those who point out flaws
You’d have folks believe I was just stirring up trouble, yet, after I left you yourselves admitted you’d lied and the data you swore was unrecoverable in fact was, and your team was simple incompetent.
- Untrustworthy and with no respect for your words
Rukh was given a short ban to have him cool off; the first he was ever given. Then, after deciding more folks would come to FFC with him gone, or maybe that even though he’d never had a warning ban before he’d “used up all his changes,” you forsake your own word. Again, an admin choose to lie about the forum data rather than admit lack of ability; and even after you realized he was lying it took days for you to admit it, you still likely don’t believe he did anything wrong by lying.
- Of low moral fiber
I know I’ve been chastised for pointing some of the admins have gender-identification issues elsewhere; but the fact is a leader should be above reproach (II Timothy) and having admins teaching false doctrine of familiar spirits, having gender identification issues, and refusing to clarify their beliefs on sexuality is not acceptable for leadership of a Christian site.
- Acting on impulse without control
Lying on behalf of other staff; banning me when my account was already Deleted (yes, you did, get over it), allowing personally involved people to moderate discussion with “my-side bias”, and also see “untrustworthy” above.
- Impatient
After apply the patch I openly provided you could have ran off of Joomla for months until all data could have been migrated; instead you acted recklessly and without transparency, unwilling to seek or ask for help.
- Uncertain
You also seem to have issues laying out sin; in some cases in FFC the only sin seems to be calling sin, sin. Jesus was not a quiet man who was seeker-friendly and never called out sinfulness — you trying to be universalist does not represent Him.

In summary, (and I’ve posted this over at my blog as well in case it’s deleted here, I recommend comments go there since this forum will likely vanish at any time), I would recommend anyone who wants to join FFC use caution — because it doesn’t reflect God, and it’s leaders do not have a heart for ministry.

I also invite anyone that wants to come to http://christianfurs.net — it may not be universalist, but you’ll find we love God without needing to debate male genitals or which version of Catholicism is better.

Vore, and why I don’t like it

So; this has come up again; it’s something I actually brought up on my blog some time ago and at the time I didn’t think that I would ever need to again. Nevertheless, here I am, again talking about vore.

Basically; I feel that sin is the same if it happens in real life of if you’re simply role-playing that out as a character when you’re mentally performing the same action. There’s no difference between sinning “for real” or sinning “for pretend;” they are effective the same. Most Christians I know have no issue applying that to yiff; but, if you go and apply it to other types of role play they start to get antsy.

I don’t think we really have the ability to go into this and draw our own lines where we want them; there’s no real way you can define one thing being a sin IRL and in role play and one thing not. Not to mention that there is that point at which just doing doing it in role play won’t be enough and you’ll push yourself harder for the same thrill.

Nevertheless, feel free to contradict the ‘fin.

Fallen short

You know on a night like this it’s not that hard to realize just how bad a person I am on so many different levels. I don’t mean in the beating kittens sorta bad, but, someone who has so many times just not follwoed God’s will. It’s a scary thought to wonder if, or perhaps better asked how, my bad decisions have affected others.

Now, there are a number if people I’ve hurt and I could have done nothing to make any difference with that. It’s one of those things that comes from being a community leader. But, at the same time there are people who have been hurt by my actions for no good reason except my own pride and stubbornness.

Tonight by prayer is for those people, for reconciliation and healing for them–also that I would gain more wisdom on when I need to be still and let God be God. Hopefully some day even forgiveness.

We trademarked winter!

Jason: This whole winter thing needs to end
Wolfin: hah, you're telling me this? You, living in New York, are telling this to a CANADIAN?
Jason: or at least dump some snow on us
Wolfin: We trademarked winter son, and you'd best well enjoy it.

Roleplay Cuddling

In the fandom, cuddling is everywhere — and that’s fine. I enjoy it, honestly. One thing that annoys me tho is when furs seem to think if you’re willing to be cuddly, you want to take it to the “next step” and yiff with them.

Um, no. The way I see it, if I and a friend were covered in fur, I’d want someone to scritch behind my ears and to curl up with for a nap. That would be normal and not at all a lead up to something erotic.

So, if you see me, scritches and cuddles are welcome — but don’t get any other ideas.

Why tracking students is a bad thing

So, there has been a little buzz about a program in California to track students there that frequently miss school by giving them a tracking device.  School officials were quick to point out that these weren’t anklets and were very secure.

But, that’s not the point… the point is kids that end up having to deal with this will end up thinking that government tracking is normal.  That is the real privacy issue; making people comfortable with tracking tech so later on down the road a little more invasive tracking won’t seem as bad.

And, even more irritating are narrow-minded parents who seem to think that this will directly impact their child’s wellbeing in some way.  Counseling and adult mentors to encourage kids to learn is a good thing, GPS trackers are just stupid.  Parents need to wake up and realize that these days, they are just proving a place to sleep and paying to feed their children for the government… family time almost doesn’t exist anymore and with both parents working most kids spend the majority of their waking lives in the care of the state.

Sad truth that blind society doesn’t see because they’re too busy watching American Idol.
